To check the BIOS version follow the instructions: Win + R – type msinfo32 and press Enter. In the System Information window, scroll down for BIOS Version/Date entry. Alternatively, you can use the Command Prompt: Now go to the command prompt, right-click it open it as an administrator, type wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion and hit Enter. It is important to know your BIOS version before updating because when you are downloading a new update for your motherboard you have to make sure you get the right one.
